I am very thankful that I have never been put in a situation like this – huge decisions to be made in a short period of time – decisions with global impact … and no matter what is done, there will be plenty of people who will vocally criticize the decisions.

Obviously, this book is written from the author’s personal perspective and there are many who will disagree about the way things were handled. It was interesting to get an inside perspective on the important decisions that were made. And I can appreciate the strength necessary to analyze the facts and act quickly. The intent was to prevent a disastrous collapse.

I think it will be interesting to re-read On The Brink years from now after we have a better perspective on how the events and decisions of 2008 have impacted our future.
