Hooray for happy warm feet!

My guys have had Hi-Tec hiking boots before, but this was my first time to try out some Hi-Tecs for myself. My feet like to be warm, dry and protected, but ‘they’ also like to look cute. Given a choice between cute and warm, cute often wins. But…. with Hi-Tec no choice is necessary. They have winter boots for women that are both cute and warm!

The V-Lite Snowflake Chukka boot for women is fabulous! I got it in Honey/Sable/Taupe, but it also comes in a darker Brown/Taupe/Chocolate. The stylish faux fur lining is soft, comfy and warm – it feels good on my bare feet, but is sized so that there is room for socks.

The suede upper is just beautiful and is even waterproof. The thinsulate insulation keeps my feet nice and toasty. The boots are constructed in a way that keeps water from seeping in at the seems.

The cute buttons on the sides are easy to use, if you need to. With regular socks, I can just slide my foot right in. With thick socks, I’d probably want to use the buttons.

My favorite feature is the traction. I used to grab ugg-type boots when I needed to make a quick trip out in the weather, but those smooth soles are not good when water is involved. (Yes, I have slipped on more than one occasion …) The traction on these boots is excellent!
