Eco-Me has put together fun do-it-yourself kits to create your own natural, non-toxic household products! The kits are meant to be used and reused to reduce the amount of toxins we are exposed to and also reduce the amount of waste that’s generated by single use products.

Eco-Me has products for the home, the nursery, your skin and your pets. I think it’s great that they thought to include pets in their product line.  I got to try out the Cat Gift Set – they also make a similar one for dogs.

The Cat Kit comes packaged in a cute natural sack and includes:
1 jar & lid to mix Eco-Me Cat Litter Freshener 1 jar & lid to store Eco-Me Cat Treats with 3 recipes 1 bottle & sprayer to mix Eco-Me Cat Flea & Bug Spray 1 bottle of Eco-Me Cat blend essential oil mix 1 mixer 1 scooper 1 Bag of Organic Catnip (up to 3 uses), 0.5 oz 1 Natural Burlap Cat pillow

When the kit arrived, I didn’t immediately look at the return address – just put it in ‘the pile’ to open in a little while. My cats instantly went nutsy – knocking the other boxes out of the way, rubbing against the box, pushing each other away to get a better position …. it was then that I realized what was going on.  My kitties have been known to ‘hit the nip’ but they would agree with me, that this is the best catnip they’ve had! The website says it’s good for up to 3 uses, but it is so potent that ours is going to last much longer than that. It only takes a pinch – I’ve had to hide the bag where they can’t get to it.

The rest of the kit is fun, too. (but not as fun as watching my happy kitties with the catnip!) The essential oil smells great and the instructions for the other items are easy to follow. We especially like the natural cat litter freshener that’s made with baking soda and the included oil – so easy! I haven’t made the treats yet, but they look like fun & the little heart shaped cookie cutter is cute. The burlap pillow is a new favorite sleeping spot, which could be due to the catnip I sprinkled on it
