My skin is very fair and I’ve enjoyed using Hampton Sun products with SPF before. The quality is excellent – I can see why they are sold in luxury boutiques! They have oils, gels and lotions ranging from SPF 4 to SPF 30. Yes, I need the 30 – summer and winter.

I enjoy a summer glow but don’t want to damage my skin, so I was happy to try out the Hampton Sun Sunless Tanning Gel. It’s hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested and contains natural and organic ingredients:

• Walnut Oil
• Aloe
• Vitamins A through E

They advertise it as being streak-free, but I’ve done that whole streaky orange look with other products before … more than once. So I did a test patch first before risking public embarrassment again. The first thing I noticed was that it really does spread well. The gel soaks into my skin quickly and it’s easy to get good coverage. Within a couple of hours, my test patch had a nice even glow.

• No Streaks

WooHoo! And my skin was soft from the moisturizing ingredients.  That gave me the confidence to try more than a little patch. I successfully tanned my legs and had the same good results. Since I’m so fair, it didn’t turn my skin super dark – just ended up with an appropriate tan glow. They recommend a second application if you want a darker tan, but for me one coat was good. In the summer I may want to do 2.
