Shopping Thoughts
When I was a kid, I loved to go shopping. I’d take the bus to the mall and stay for hours or walk to the grocery store with friends just for fun.
Sometimes I bought things. Sometimes I just looked. Sometimes I just giggled with my friends. And it was always fun to see what the different stores had and to compare shopping prices.
Now that I’m older, the mall does not hold the same appeal….at all. I still like to get good shopping deals, but I would much rather do as much of my shopping as possible at home in my pajamas! When I can get a deal that makes sense, I buy online. It saves me time and money and it’s a much more enjoyable experience for me.
When I need to make a big purchase, I typically do as much research as I can online. Then I can once again save time and money, even if I need to go to a store to make the purchase. And I can avoid some of that “in person salesman pressure.”
A few years ago, I got to remodel my kitchen. I had a lot of fun figuring out how I wanted the new kitchen to look and am very happy with the way it came out. With most of the bigger items, I was able to do my research online before purchasing. I found plenty of information to help me make informed decisions – refrigerators, double and single ovens (gas and electric), stainless steel kitchen hoods …. I found information on all of those things, so I was able to get just what I wanted at a good price. And I didn’t have to wander around the store feeling overwhelmed with the choices and the pressure of a salesman since I had done my homework.
The internet has helped me enjoy shopping again!

This is definitely how I feel about shopping now and days-I used to love going to the mall and I still do every now and again when I’m in a ’shopping mood’ as I call it, but I think the internet holds more shopping appeal because you can get stuff from as far away or as close as you want! Not to mention the variety you can get…
