Do you like dried fruit? I do! I am especially fond of tart cherries. When I heard about Stoneridge Orchards’ Montmorency Cherries, I knew I had to try them.
They are absolutely delicious!
Montmorency Cherries are the most popular sour cherry in the US and Canada. They taste great dried and in pies, juice and preserves. You’ll also find health supplements made from these little gems. I’m happy to have a snack that tastes great and has some natural nutritional goodness in it.
It will be no surprise to those who know me that the cherries dipped in dark chocolate are my favorites. I love the combination of the tartness from the fruit and the slightly bitter taste of the 70% dark chocolate. They really do make a good match.
The cherries that are dipped in rich, creamy Greek yogurt are also very good. I like grabbing a little handful of a mixture of the dark chocolate and Greek yogurt ones together.
For a non-dessert-like treat, there are the regular Montmorency Cherries, Organic Montmorency Cherries and Chili Lime Cherries. As I expected, the Chili Lime was a big hit in my house. My kids like them the best. The lime adds extra tartness and the chili gives them a nice little kick.
All of the cherries are plump and full of flavor. This is dried fruit, but it’s still juicy enough to have a wonderful chewy texture. It’s dried, but not “dried out.”
My family and I love Stoneridge Orchards Montmorency Cheries.
