This CD reminds me of something I would have enjoyed when I was a child. Yes, I was a child back in the days when there were no dvds, no vhs and TV consisted of just a handful of channels. I had a record player and listened to music and stories.
There are lots of children’s cds with music that tells a story. This cd is a reverse of that. It contains stories that are musical. The focus is on the story and the music enhances the storytelling experience.

- Interlude
- Monster Valentine
The stories are really cute. Bill Harley has a good understanding of what kids like and what they can relate to.
High Dive is probably the favorite here. He tells the story of a 9 year old boy who has a crush on the 17 year old lifeguard at the community pool. The story is told from the perspective of the 9 year old and rings true.
This is a nice cd for kids to listen to in the car or at home when they need a break from active play.
