Giveaway – Mud Gardening Gloves – 5 Winners – Ends 4/20/10

Mud
Naturally durable. Purely refined. Total comfort.

About: As gardeners, we understand the need to have gloves that will perform for hours at a time. In order to achieve this, gloves need to be comfortable. Our theory is “if they aren’t comfortable, you won’t wear them.” All of our gloves have been tested for wearability, comfort, protection and proper fit. We believe genuine quality and the artisan approach do matter. And we think there are large numbers of people who agree with us. If you share our appreciation for artisan ways and find common ground in our passion for gardening, we’re confident you’ll find what you need in our collection.

I am definitely one of those who won’t wear gloves, if they aren’t comfortable. And I also typically won’t wear gloves that don’t look good.  Fortunately, Mud Gloves are comfortable and stylish!

The people at Mud understand that different gloves are needed for different purposes. I got to try out gloves from 2 of their product lines.

Sunflower Gloves are made from UV blocking fabric! You can protect your arms and hands from the sun and from gardening mishaps. They come up above the elbow for extra protection. I thought this might make them feel awkward, but they don’t. The inside of the arm is mesh and they are lightweight so my arms stay cool and comfortable. The palm has a nice grip coating. And with my fair skin, I am happy to have the extra UV protection.

The Cool Mud Gloves are water repellent and great for my messier garden work. The lining has an aloe additive that keeps my hands feeling good while I’m working. The first thing I noticed with these is that they are seemless, so nothing digs into my skin as I’m working – hooray!  The back of the glove is breathable and the inside has a nice grippy coating. The wrists fit snuggly to keep dirt and debris out. They’re very comfortable and easy to move around in.

Mud Gloves would make a great gift for someone who does serious gardening or basic outdoor chores.

I learned that “you may also dry your gloves in dryer at a low to medium setting for about 20 minutes. Your gloves will dry much quicker in the direct sun.”

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    * The liner allows the hands to breath while working in warm conditions and the glove is machine washable.
    * Tough gardeners touch nitrile finish is treated with a process that creates a sponge like surface with millions of air pockets.

I learned you can machine wash them and even put them in the dryer, if need be, but air drying is the best.
I would love to win these because I garden and worry since I just had a precancerous mark removed which makes me cover up now all the time.
    Great product, great giveaway!

P.S. It is SO true that if gardening gloves are not comfortable that I won’t wear them. I have purchased several gardening gloves and immediately donated to charity because it did not fit properly.
