Oogave Natural Sodas

About: Oogavé is the first soda to be sweetened only with 100% organic agave nectar–not one drop of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Not only is agave nectar a fantastic sweetener, but the garbage found in traditional sodas has been removed. Artificial flavors, artificial colors, salt and preservatives such as sodium benzoate are not used.

Hooray! Natural soda with no high fructose corn syrup and no icky chemicals! USDA Organic! Kosher!

Agave nectar is sweet – naturally sweet. And it doesn’t have that funky aftertaste that alternative sweeteners often do. It’s just good, natural sweetness. Agave has a low Glycemic Index, which means that you don’t get the quick high and crash that is often associated with other sweeteners. They have a cute chart on their site that explains this in more detail.

Oogave Natural Sodas come in 6 delicious flavors:

  • Watermelon Cream
  • Ginger Ale
  • Root beer
  • Cola
  • Mandarin Key-Lime
  • Grapefruit

We got to have a fun taste test with each of the flavors. They were all sweet and tasty and none of them had any odd aftertaste. We would be happy to drink any of them again.

The Watermelon Cream is very unique – creamy, fruity and sweet. I didn’t think I was going to like this one, but I did. I expected my guys to like it, and they did.

The Grapefruit was another surprising one to me. My older son chose it as his first sample and loved it. I don’t even like grapefruit juice, but grapefruit is delicious when combined with agave.

The absolute favorite in our house is the Ginger Ale. It has a wonderful fresh ginger flavor that lingers!
